Thermal Control Products Inc. originated from a commercial aircraft component supplier company in 1994.

The former owner of the company had a passion for stock car racing and had some insight into what the drivers were experiencing in the cockpits of their race cars during a race.

Drivers were actually blistering the back of their heels during a race, due to the extreme heat conduction through the floors of the cars, generated from the close proximity of the exhaust system.

The company developed a flame retardant - highly insulated floor pad and began distributing them to the teams for testing. The results spoke for themselves, no more blisters on the back of the drivers heels, and thus the beginning of Thermal Control Products, Inc.

Today, the company manufactures numerous products that address various thermal management issues and protective products that not only protect the driver and the car, but also the supporting equipment for the race team.
